House rules
1. Opening hours
Our Kindergarten is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please remember that the staff cannot receive your children between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. because they are holding morning circles during that time. Should it be necessary to bring your child later due to doctor's appointments or similar reasons, please inform the educators beforehand.
2. Drop-off and pick-up
After signing the care contract with the Kita "Knirpsenstadt", you are obliged to use the digital system "Leandoo" to sign your child in and out.
When bringing children to the Kita, they must be handed over directly to a staff member who acknowledges this through a brief check-in.
Before leaving the Kita, the staff must be notified that the child is leaving. From this moment on, the supervisory responsibility transfers to the person picking up the child. Please keep in mind that the Kita grounds are not a public playground and you should leave the premises as soon as possible.
Children can only be picked up by third parties with written permission from the legal guardians. An identification document (ID card / passport / driver's license) must be carried to show the Kita staff if requested.
3. Entrance gate / entrance doors
The entrance gate, as well as the entrance doors and garden gate, must be kept closed at all times. Please ensure that only adults open the gate.
4. Bringing personal vehicles / items
Strollers can be parked in the stroller room during the day. Bicycles and similar vehicles can be parked in the designated bicycle rack. Please keep in mind that we assume no liability for potential damages or loss of your possessions.
It is not allowed to bring personal toys into the Kita. Exceptions are cuddly toys / stuffed animals for the settling-in period as well as for naps and rest times.
5. Cords
When choosing bags or backpacks for your child, please pay attention to the length of the cords. Long cords pose a risk of strangulation!
Plastic bags are forbidden in the entire facility.
6. Jewelry
Wearing necklaces, bracelets, and/or earrings can be a danger to the wearer and other children. They are therefore discouraged in the Kita. The Kita's insurance will not cover any damages to your own child or other children caused by jewelry.
7. Being a role model
All people entering the Kindergarten building and grounds are role models for the children and should therefore ensure cleanliness, politeness, and consideration.
8. Use of mobile phones
To ensure good communication, we ask you not to use your mobile phones when dropping off or picking up your children. Your children have had a day full of experiences they want to share with you – face to face.
9. Taking pictures
Taking pictures with personal devices is forbidden in the entire facility for data protection reasons. This includes all outdoor areas as well.
10. Sunscreen and medication
During summer months, parents are responsible for the preventive sun protection of their child. Parents must apply sunscreen to their child at home in the morning and bring a hat or cap with neck protection and a sun visor. Parents should also dress their children in weather-appropriate, light, and airy clothes for optimal sun protection. The pedagogical staff will reapply sunscreen during the day in cooperation with your child.
Please generally hand any required medication directly to the Kita staff (labeled with the child's name) and do not store it in your child's backpack or bag.
11. Backpacks in the cloakroom
For the safety of your children, it is not permitted to store any kind of food, snacks, sweets, or similar items in the children's backpacks in the cloakroom.
